Chrissy Biamonte; Purpose-Driven Communication
Chrissy Biamonte started personal training clients in 2005 and is a 12-year veteran of the Health & Wellness industry. As a former athlete and bikini competitor with a background in Health Science and Psychology, she has always been passionate about staying in good shape while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Over the years, she’s had the opportunity to help many people accomplish their health and fitness goals. In her words, “There is nothing more rewarding to me than to know that I have helped improve someone’s life.”
Betsy Butterick; Communication Subluxation: Adjusting our Language for Greater Health and Connection
At first glance, communications training and basketball coaching may not seem that similar. But as Betsy Butterick knows, each requires the perfect mix of technique, repetition, playfulness, and trust. As a Coach with Own The Room, she loves helping people discover new skills and reach their full potential in a fun and meaningful way.
A former college and professional women’s basketball coach, Betsy spent over a decade working with teams like Stanford University, the WNBA’s Seattle Storm, the University of Washington (and many more). In 2015, she launched her own business, offering communications coaching to both athletics professionals and leaders at top tech companies in California. A talented motivator, she’s presented at national events like the Women’s Basketball Final Four, the Junior NBA Youth Basketball Leadership Conference, and Ohio University’s Global Coaching Symposium. Betsy holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Claremont McKenna College and an Integral Coach Certification from New Ventures West.
Ian Davis-Tremayne, DC; Philosophy Informed Technique: Be Objective...Change More Lives
Dr. Tremayne is co-founder of The Upper Cervical Revolution, a Knee Chest Upper Cervical program that teaches “how to make the proper correction to allow INNATE to make the perfect adjustment, how to take and analyze X-rays the proper way as BJ Palmer intended, and how to perform a proper scan and analyze in order to know WHEN and WHEN NOT to make that correction,” according to his website. He travels around the world to train chiropractors and chiropractic students to be the next generation of leaders in the Upper Cervical technique. He says he also believes health care is a right, not a privilege, so every year he organizes service trips to give chiropractic care to those who are less fortunate.
Bryan Gatterman, DC, DACBR; Advanced Imaging in Chiropractic Practice
Bryan Gatterman, DC, DACBR, is a professor at Life Chiropractic College West and has been on faculty since 1983. He is a graduate of Western States Chiropractic College and residency trained in chiropractic radiology. Dr. Gatterman has practiced as a DACBR for 33 years. His areas of expertise include chiropractic X-ray interpretation, magnetic resonance imaging, digital motion X-ray and musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound. Dr. Gatterman has extensive postgraduate lecture experience in a number of topics related to musculoskeletal imaging.

A member of the Life West Board of Regents, Dr. Kristen Giles is one of many experts taking the stage this August at the WAVE 20. She’ll discuss how to set the tone with communication to build progressive strategies.
Brad Glowaki, DC; Building a Legacy in Your Community: Chiropractic Technique and
Communication for Decades to Come
Award-winning chiropractor and stalwart speaker Brad Glowaki, DC, will return to the WAVE this August. Watch his presentation from the WAVE 2019 below for an example of what Dr. Glowaki will bring to the Life West stage.
Dr. Glowaki manages a million-dollar practice in Seal Beach, California, and has logged more than 10,000 speaking hours at conferences and seminars around the world. Often referred to as “Dr. Glow,” he is also one of Life West’s most trusted mentor docs and has been profiled in Life West Chiropractic Magazine. He has spoken to students and faculty on campus numerous times, and has also referred several current students to the college.
Dr. Glowaki is very excited about a return engagement at Life West’s premier chiropractic conference. “The WAVE provides an opportunity for vitalistic speakers, international students and pace-setting docs, all out to change the world, to connect with one another,” he said. “You can’t miss it!”
Deed Harrison, DC; Sagittal Plane Spine Subluxation, Altered Sensori-Motor Control, and Autonomic
Nervous System Function: Does True Corrective Care Improve Outcomes?
Deed E. Harrison, D.C., graduated from Life-West Chiropractic College in 1996. Dr. Harrison has developed and researched original spinal rehabilitation procedures and has lectured to thousands of Chiropractors in over 300 educational conferences around the world. He has authored approximately 100 peer-reviewed spine-related publications, 4 spine textbooks, and numerous conference proceedings. He is a highly respected chiropractic researcher and authority in today’s profession.
Dr. Harrison is a manuscript reviewer for several peer-reviewed Spine journals including: Spine, Clinical Biomechanics, Clinical Anatomy, Archives of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the European Spine Journal, BMC Complimentary Alternative Medicine, and BMC Musculo-Skeletal Disorders.
Additionally, Dr. Harrison is a member to the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS), is a former International Chiropractors Association’s (ICA) Nevada State Assembly Representative member, and is the acting Chair of the PCCRP Chiropractic Radiography Guidelines. He formerly held a position on the Chiropractic Physicians Board of Nevada. Currently, Dr. Harrison is the President / CEO of Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP®)Technique & Seminars and is the President of CBP NonProfit, Inc. – a spinal research foundation.
David Jackson, DC;Techniques for Neurophysiologic and Biomechanical Examination and Communication of Wellness
Are you looking for guidance in building your practice? David Jackson, DC, founder and CEO of Epic Practice, is coming to the WAVE this year to talk about clarity in communication. He’ll focus on addressing the needs of the patient, the role of the chiropractor, and a chiropractor’s responsibilities to the patient and the community. He’ll also teach techniques for assessing and communicating wellness to patients.
Dr. Jackson, a speaker and chiropractic business development expert, says he became “extremely passionate” about helping other chiropractors as he was building his own business. “Watching other doctors struggle, and knowing that there were sick people out there they could be caring for, made that passion come alive inside me even more,” he says. In 2001, he sold his practice, moved across the country, and became the President of Chiropractic Leadership Alliance, or CLA. Now he travels to speak, inspire, and help chiropractors build better practices. He’s helped more than 4,000 chiropractors create their dream practice in the past 20 years.
Daniel Johnston, MD; Neuroprevention: Chiropractors Need to Lead the Way
Daniel T. Johnston, MD, MPH is a leader in preventative health, brain performance optimization and human resilience. He has served as a physician and researcher in the US Army from the Pentagon to Iraq and recently cofounded BrainSpan. He pioneered the first studies in Omega-3 and brain health in the Army in combat environments using a finger stick dried blood spot technology. He led a successful pilot program at two large Army installations using qEEG for performance enhancement. A leader in assessing, quantifying, and improving dietary cellular and brain health and performance. He was one of the few to hold both the Navy and Army flight surgeon badges.
Ryan Lazarus, DC; The Chiropractic Matrix: All I'm offering is the truth. Nothing more.
Ryan Lazarus DC, MSc, CNS is the clinical director at Lazarus Chiropractic & Wellness located in the Napa Valley and Diablo Valley. He’s a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner with the Institute for Functional Medicine and a Board-Certified Nutrition Specialist. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer West and Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from The University of Western States. He is a health consultant, researcher, entrepreneur and currently lectures for Standard Process regarding whole foods nutrition strategies.
Drew-Montez Clark, DC; Improving Patient Outcomes through Clarity in Communication
Dr. Clark is part of a small team that built a $1 Million+ practice from the ground up with only $20K in seed money. He’s an entrepreneur that happens to love chiropractic. In addition to the chiropractic side, Dr. Clark works as the CEO of a cloud-based business intelligence software company and serves on the board of a mentor group, Inspired Legacy.
He delivers talks and workshop-style training seminars on leadership, team development and more. His goal is to have you come away from his presentation on WAVE 2020 with a better grasp of the connection between supporting data practices, chiropractic philosophy and ways to use both in the context of your practice.
Jamie Motley, MA., DC, DACBR; Diagnostic Imaging in Chiropractic Practice
As a chiropractic student at Life Chiropractic College West, Dr. Motley developed a keen interest in radiology. After her graduation in 2009, she entered a Diplomat of the American Chiropractic College of Radiology program at New York Chiropractic College. In 2012 she became the first African-American chiropractic radiologist in the world when she started a private practice interpreting Radiographic, MRI and CT musculoskeletal studies, and she continues to strive for excellence in the field of chiropractic. Dr. Motley teaches, reads imaging studies and inspires students at Life West.
Dan Murphy, DC; Spine Pain and the Chiropractic Adjustment
Dr. Dan Murphy has been a cornerstone to Life West’s WAVE agenda, speaking on the science behind chiropractic, for the past several years, and this year is no different. This year, Dr. Murphy will discuss orthopedics and neurology, and why chiropractic is effective in the management of many issues including spinal syndromes.
Ron Oberstein, DC; 125 Years: Changing the World
This year, as Life Chiropractic College West celebrates 125 years of chiropractic at its annual conference, the WAVE, Life West President Ron Oberstein will talk about how the first chiropractic adjustment has impacted the world by introducing chiropractic care in his address, “125 Years: Changing the World.”
Expect to hear Dr. Oberstein focus on the science of yesterday and today as he talks about D.D. Palmer in 1895, and highlights both the historic and immediate benefits of chiropractic care, and what every chiropractor can do to help “create a Brighter Future For Humanity.”
Justin Ohm, DC; Empowering the mother to be, a patient-centered examination approach in a salutogenic model.
A second-generation chiropractor, Dr. Ohm practices in Pennsylvania and comes from a family of trail-blazers in perinatal and pediatric care. His mother, Dr. Jeanne Ohm, served as the CEO of the ICPA and was also a member of the Life West Board of Regents.
Dr. Ohm is excited to bring his knowledge of perinatal care to the WAVE stage. “A salutogenic approach for examination of expectant mothers is possibly the most underappreciated aspect of perinatal chiropractic care,” he said, adding that his goal is to “build a community of support for the perinatal and family-focused chiropractor within this model of care.”
Dr. Ohm’s presentation will focus on using the salutogenic model to empower expectant mothers. He will discuss current approaches and applications of perinatal history that center around patient-focused care, as well as how to understand and apply current chiropractic research to best practices when examining a patient.
Mindy Pelz, DC; Healing Today's Modern Body
Dr. Mindy Pelz, who practices in nearby San Jose and is one of Life Chiropractic College West’s most active local supporters, will speak about healing today’s modern body at the WAVE 20, Life West’s annual chiropractic conference.
Ryan Reider, DC; Communicating Effectively the Value of Chiropractic
Dr. Ryan Rieder is a passionate entrepreneur, chiropractor, mentor and coach who specialises in rapid business growth, building power teams and personal development and wellness transformations. He spends his days doing what he loves, serving his team of over 100 employees and helping his private mentoring clients live extraordinary lives.
The co-founder of Halsa Care Group, which is the largest private provider of chiropractic and physiotherapy in Europe, Ryan and his business partner have quadrupled the size of the business in 3 short years to become the multi-million pound enterprise it is today.
Dr. Ryan regularly speaks at a variety of events and has spoken and worked with some of the best speakers in the industry. Dr. Ryan has also become a sought after mentor who teaches and coaches business people and entrepreneurs from various backgrounds including health, bricks and mortar, finance as well as those looking to break down barriers and limiting beliefs to take them to the next level.

Scott Rosa, DC; The Ill Effects of Head/Neck Trauma to the Cranio-cervical Junction, A Neuroradiograhic Review
Dr. Scott Rosa has devoted his life to studying and improving the effects of trauma and misalignment to the upper cervical spine, specifically the craniocervical junction. Injuries to the head and neck are not always visible with the typical imaging technology used to help diagnose patients.
Rosa’s patented Dynamic Upright Magnetic Resonance Imaging (DMRI) technology helps with making diagnoses, which shapes the care he provides. Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jim McMahon received treatment from Dr. Rosa after suffering three concussions and early dementia. Dr. Rosa’s DMRI revealed significant disruption in his craniocervical junction that resulted in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pooling his frontal lobe. Dr. Rosa’s Trauma Imaging Foundation website writes: “McMahon says that Dr. Rosa’s TIF research and treatments literally ‘saved my life.’”
Selina Sigafoose-Jackson, DC; The 33 Principles: Why We Have Them, How to Use Them
Selina Sigafoose Jackson, Vice President of the International Chiropractors Association and a member of a well-known chiropractic family, will focus on chiropractic philosophy and the 33 Principles at this year’s WAVE 2020, Life Chiropractic College West’s annual chiropractic conference.
Devin Vrana, DC; The BIG Idea
Dr. Devin Vrana is a woman on a mission from America’s heartland. She studied and earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Kansas State University. She continued her education in Kansas City at Cleveland Chiropractic College.
Dr. Devin is a mother of five wonderful children, wife to an amazing man and Chiropractor determined to serve the masses. She is an active student and teacher of the art of Chiropractic. She is a passionate teller of the Chiropractic Story and protector of its philosophy and science.
Her path has been blessed with many great teachers. She completed training with the ICPA. She studied Chiropractic and Acupuncture under the great Dr. Richard Yennie. She has served the Kansas Chiropractic Association on the local and state levels. She has traveled around the nation to speak to the Chiropractic community and traveled the world to serve the mission of loving Chiropractic service.
She has received local and state awards–Future Phenom, KCA Young Doctor of the Year, Wichita’s 40 Under 40. In 2018, she launched Equinox Chiropractic with Dr. Brett Jones from Oakland, CA. Alongside a team of successful, principled Chiropractic visionaries, Dr. Devin & the Equinox Lead Guides have big goals for creating Unity & higher levels of success & fulfillment for Chiropractors, Chiropractic Assistants, Chiropractic Students, & the communities that we all serve.

Rion Zimmerman, DC; Be a Specialist: Chiropractic Care for Professional Athletes
Dr. Zimmerman is a well-known speaker and health advocate within the Los Angeles community. Dr. Zimmerman has dedicated his career to not only teaching wellness and preventative lifestyles within his practice but also to companies and organizations outside his office.
He has specific training in whiplash and concussion injuries. After establishing a successful private practice, Dr Zimmerman was asked to serve as one of the team physicians for the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team as well as the US women’s national soccer team, bringing a wealth of experience as one of the top sports chiropractors Pasadena has to offer.
He is the current chairman of the board for the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of commerce and is the past President of the local Verdugo Hills California Chiropractic Association chapter.

You will not receive a single certificate for the entire conference; rather you may print or download a separate certificate after each conference session.
