International Subluxation and Technique Symposium (Online 2025)
Summary
The Symposium’s objective is to provide Doctors of Chiropractic an integrated education in the neuropathophysiology of the subluxation complex, including clinical analysis and technique.
The program will amplify the practitioners’ understanding of current developments in the assessment and scientific evidence-based knowledge of the vertebral subluxation complex and its impact on neurobiology and neurophysiology of the human body.

OUTLINE – 12 CE Hours
HOUR 1 – Principles of Practice
- Current mental health disorder prevalence in America
- History of chiropractic and its effectiveness with patients suffering from mental health disorders
- History of Forest Park, Clearview, and Spears Chiropractic Facilities
- Kentucky juvenile study
- Current research supporting mental health disorders and chiropractic
- Understand the connections between chiropractic and mental health
HOUR 2 – Technique
- Utilize the asymmetry and biomechanics of the upper cervical complex to provide the most specific adjustment
- Know WHEN to make the adjustment in order to get the best results
- Understand that the adjustment is a combination of multiple factors that when utilized correctly can make it appear gentle and non-invasive to the patient.
HOUR 3 –Technique / Exam
- Analyze the ilium, sacrum, and lumbar spine.
- Perform the side posture set-up
- Apply concepts of analysis and adjustive set-ups for pelvis, sacrum, and lumbar subluxation correction
HOUR 4 – Diagnostic Imaging Analysis
HOURS 5-6 - Diagnostic Imaging Analysis
HOUR 7 – Technique / Case Studies
- Understand the mechanics of an Atlas Orthogonal Adjustment
- Identify anatomy and risk factors that can present in cases upper cervical subluxation
- Apply Atlas Orthogonal safely and effectively in these scenarios
HOUR 8 – Research / Technique
- 3- Non randomized clinical control trials
- 10 randomized clinical control trials testing extension cervical traction procedures for rehabilitation of cervical lordosis cervical spine disorders.
- Types of cervical spine disorders that have been found to respond to corrective chiropractic care: neck pain, neck disability, range of motion.
- Sensori-motor control definition, methods, and outcomes.
- Neuro-physiological measures and outcomes: Dermatomal somato-sensory evoked potentials (DSSEP’s) and central conduction time.
- Frequency, duration, and clinical guidelines of care
HOUR 9 – Exam / Diagnostic Testing
- Explain the Philosophical basis of why Paraspinal Thermography could be used in the Chiropractic Assessment
- Understand the Anatomy & Physiology involved in Paraspinal Thermography as related to the Chiropractic Assessment
- Describe the Physics involved in Paraspinal Thermography as related to the Chiropractic Assessment
- Identify Research involved with Paraspinal Thermography, and that use Paraspinal Thermography to verify results
- Interpret the graphs produced by Paraspinal Thermography
- Integrate “Pattern Work” in relation to Paraspinal Thermography
HOUR 10 – Technique
- Know the history and necessity for Chiropractic care for infants
- Adjust infants and children with clinical certainty
- Palpate infants
HOUR 11 – Technique
- Renewed Forgotten Basics
- Right Bone at the Right Time
- Assertive but not Aggressive Chair Adjusting
- Adjust the cervical spine using the Gonstead technique
HOUR 12 – Principles of Practice / Exam
- Identify the most common causes of subluxations in the pediatric population.
- Identify the incidence of subluxation and the patterns it creates in our youth.
- Understand history taking and examination procedures to detect subluxation and determine care requirements.

After receiving his Bachelor’s in Health and Social Change, Dr. Tremayne continued his studies at Life Chiropractic College West where he graduated with honors and received his Doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Tremayne studied the Knee-Chest Upper Cervical Technique through the true masters of today, in order to deliver the most specific life changing adjustment available. Dr. Tremayne is also co-founder of The Upper Cervical Revolution, where he travels the world training other Chiropractors and Chiropractic Students how to become the future leaders in the Upper Cervical community. He realizes that the best way to touch the world is through the hands of his students. In addition to studying Knee-Chest Upper Cervical, Dr. Tremayne has completed the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association’s training in Pediatrics, Pre and Post Natal Care, and The Webster Technique for In-Utero Constraint.
