WAVE 2021: Women Need to Eat Differently than Men
Mindy Pelz, DC

A woman's body is drastically different from a man’s, yet so many health therapies don’t address these differences. Men have hormonal surges that operate on a twenty-four hour cycle, while women’s hormonal changes happen on a monthly cycle. Keeping these differences in mind, a woman needs to approach all aspects of her lifestyle differently, especially her nutrition.

WAVE 2021: Nutrients as Promising Therapeutic Candidates in the Restoration if Brain Function in NFL Players
Kristen Willeumier, PhD
1 General CE hours

My research shows that former NFL football plays contend with not just brain injury, but also had a heightened prevalence of obesity, depression, attention, memory, and sleep issues leading to accelerated brain aging. Following our brain rehabilitation program we were able to demonstrate successful reversal of cognitive dysfunction and improvement in quality of life in a high percentage of athletes. With over 45 million children participating in organized sports in the U.S. along with 2.8 million individuals sustaining a traumatic brain injury annually, these protocols can be useful to clinicians in the chiropractic setting who routinely interface with these populations.
