WAVE 2023: The Science of Vitalism (Lipton, online 2024)

Overview

Since its inception by D. D. Palmer in 1895, Chiropractic has been based on the role of vitalism in shaping an individual’s health. Until recently, conventional medical science has dismissed the role of a vital force in human biology. The new science of epigenetics, in conjunction with quantum physics, has precipitated a scientific renaissance that fully recognizes the influence of vitalism in controlling behavior and health.

1.5 Hour Philosophy

Learning Objectives

A) Participants will be able to describe current science that reveals how perception of environmental signals controls behavior and gene expression - the science of epigenetics.

B) Participants will describe how quantum mechanical energy fields, including thought, control the nervous system and shape behavior.

C) Participants will understand the Growth-Protection switching mechanism in humans: Stress and the role of the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis.

BRUCE LIPTON, DC

Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D., cellular biologist and author, was formerly an Associate Professor of Anatomy at the University of Wisconsin’s School of Medicine and Research Scientist at Stanford University’s School of Medicine. Dr. Lipton has served as a Visiting Professor at Palmer College, Life Chiropractic College West and The New Zealand College of Chiropractic. He is the author of the bestselling books The Biology of Belief and The Honeymoon Effect, and co-author of Spontaneous Evolution.
