ForwardWAVE 2023: Bringing Chiropractic to the Public Schools (Cook, online 2024)
Overview
I will discuss how for 7 years we have been bringing vitalistic chiropractic care directly into our public school systems for the staff and students and how the program started and how the program is helping the education process. I also will discuss how the need for VISION is so important when we are expanding chiropractic into new arenas.

Learning Objectives
Participants will gain understanding of the initial steps and process that created this program of delivering chiropractic care in a public school setting. They will also learn how important following a vision and taking action weekly towards a vision they carry is and the timeline that was associated with this launch. Additionally, our initial case series findings on how chiropractic is benefiting the students who we were work with, most who have educational challenges and labels like ADD, ADHD, Autism and other special ed classifications and why we chose to work with this population of kids predominantly in this setting. Finally our vision for future expansion will be discussed.
 | LONA COOK, DC Dr. Lona Cook grew up in Chippewa Falls and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as Northwestern Health Sciences University for her Doctorate of Chiropractic where she graduated in the top of her class. . Dr. Lona loves helping people through the power of chiropractic and teaching them about their innate ability to heal! She has a strong passion to communicate the benefits of proactive care and help families take active roles in their own health. For the past 12 years, Dr. Lona has helped thousands of people regain health by working with the bodies power to heal and chiropractic care. Dr. Lona is also on the state association board and speaks nationally many weekends of the year spreading the message of better living through chiropractic care. Dr. Lona lives with her husband, Kyle and sons, Jack & Max, on Lake Wissota. They love being close to family in the beautiful Chippewa Valley. |
