Overview

The thoracic and lumbar spine can pose some challenges for practitioners when identifying and managing various clinical presentations. Engage in these four hours of education to hone your skills in the history and examination of the thoracic and lumbar spine. You'll emerge with increased confidence in understanding the inner workings of syndromes like Thoracic Outlet, Piriformis, and Lumbar Facet and how they appear in patient history, physical exam, and neurological exam. Dr. Bhogal blends two decades of academia and clinical practice in helping you in clinical practice on Monday morning.

Please note that History and Examination of Common Thoracic Spine Presentations and Piriformis Syndrome (Bhogal, online 2023) is available through December 31. Be certain that you have completed all parts of the course and downloaded or printed your certificate before December 31. Certificates will be available to you indefinitely and free of charge through ce.lifewest.edu as long as you have accessed them by the end of this year. 

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this seminar, participants will be better able to:

  • To perform history taking and examination of the thoracic and lumbar area
  • To be able to identify the signs and symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS), rib fractures and intercostal neuritis, and piriformis syndrome

RAMNEEK BHOGAL, DC

Dr. Ramneek Bhogal completed his undergraduate work at the University of Nebraska and is a 2002 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic. He has been an Associate Professor at Palmer, and Chair of the Technique department at Life Chiropractic College West. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists (DABCI) and a Functional Medicine practitioner, his focus in practice is managing patients with complex presentations like fatigue/stress/hormone imbalances, digestive dysfunctions, and immunity challenges. He teaches functional medicine/wellness concepts at a post graduate level to other healthcare providers and often presents at professional conventions and international symposia. He is the co-founder of Peak Potential Outreach, providing integrated health services to the underserved at home and around the world.  He enjoys practicing, spending time with his family, and traveling.
