Learning Objectives

By the end of the seminar, participants will be better able to:

● Effectively adjust any body type, big and small, old and young, flexible and inflexible.

● Allow any sized Doctor to adjust using leverage and finesse rather than strength and force, in order to prevent Doctor injury and patient injury/discomfort.

● Develop setups that lead to very effective adjustments, it’s all about the setup!

● Learn to soothe the patient into relaxation, rather than getting frustrated with their inability to relax.

● Giving more effective adjustments to your patients makes them want to stay for more care, and refer their friends and family. More referrals means you’ll be helping more people. And helping more people will result in greater practice income and a better life for you and your family. Win, Win, Win!

Program

Day 1: Lecture and demonstration of adjusting techniques and setups

2:00 - 3:00 pm: Advanced Diversified Technique: Supine Cervicals and C/T junction moves (Chiropractic Adjustive Technique)

Summary:
This presentation will demonstrate the importance of set ups when it comes to head/neck position as well as tips on how to help the patient relax for an effective supine cervical adjustment. Many Chiropractors avoid adjusting the C/T junction area because the moves that were taught in school either hurt the Doctor or are ineffective or painful for the patient. You will learn a Head of the Table move that is effective and comfortable, and a follow up side of table move.

Learning Outcomes:
● The importance of the set up and patient relaxation for supine cervical adjusting.
● Do not avoid the C/T area, be confident in your adjusting with the Head of the Table move.
● Adjust effectively without injury to Doctor or patient.

3:00 - 4:00 pm Advanced Diversified Technique: Prone Thoracics and Supine Dorsal moves (Chiropractic Adjustive Technique)

Summary:
This presentation will demonstrate the combination of using a knife-edge / thenar combo move for prone thoracic adjustments so that great depth and a complete adjustment can be achieved without pain or restriction to the Doctor's wrist/elbows/shoulders. Two styles of supine dorsals will be taught, the first using a controlled drop of the Doctors upper body weight to achieve an effective and reproducible adjustment, as well as a “roll-down” style adjustment for small/thin and/or flexible patients to aid in securing tension and providing a comfortable adjustment.

Learning Outcomes
● Deliver a deep and complete prone thoracic adjustment without compromising the Doctors upper extremity health.
● Using upper body weight to make a supine dorsal adjustment effortless for patients of average to large size.
● Creating tension in an otherwise small/thin/flexible patient to achieve a simple and thorough thoracic adjustment.
4:00 - 5:00 pm Advanced Diversified Technique: LumboPelvic Side Posture Moves (Chiropractic Adjustive Technique)

Summary:
This presentation will demonstrate two moves, first is the use of a modified kick for side posture. Most Doctors are taught to use their arm and shoulder to roll the patient to them for the adjustment , which for most is inconsistent and painful/stressful on their shoulders. This modified kick moves uses the strength of the lower body to bring the patient to tension so that the actual adjustment takes little effort from the Doctor, and is very effective in adjusting most small, average, and even large patients. The second move is a more traditional kick style adjustment to be used for more flexible areas like T12/L1/L2.
Learning Outcomes
● The Doctor will come away with great confidence in their side posture adjusting skills.
● Deliver a complete Lumbar and/or Pelvis adjustment without fear of injury to the Doctors shoulders.
● The ability to give the patient not only an effective adjustment but also the pain relief associated with the soft tissue stretch that comes from a good side posture adjustment.

5:00 - 6:00 pm  Advanced Diversified Technique: Q&A on the cervical, C/T junction, thoracic, and lumbopelvic adjustments taught in the previous 3 hours. (Chiropractic Adjustive Technique)
